Possibilities of a doctorate at the HHN - the way to a doctorate with application (hybrid)

Are you interested in a doctorate, but don't know how to get there? Have you always wanted to find out about scientific career paths? Then you should attend this information event. On this day, the HHN will provide information on the topic of doctoral studies at an HAW.

In June 2022, the foundation stone was laid for the implementation of the independent right to confer doctorates at HAW in Baden-Württemberg. This means that in addition to the cooperative promotion with universities, the initial supervision of doctoral projects in selected research areas will be possible at the HHN in the future. But what does it mean to do a doctorate with a HAW? How does a (cooperative) doctorate work? What financing possibilities are there? Which requirements do I have to fulfill? Who will support me? And why should I do a doctorate with the HHN?

These and other questions will be answered by Nancy Warbeck, Scientific Career Officer from the Prorectorate for Research, Transfer and Innovation, and Maren Haag, Scientific Promotion of Young Women, from the Department for Equality and Diversity.

In a Q&A session you will also have the opportunity to talk to selected PhD students and postdocs about your personal questions, such as
- What questions should I ask myself and clarify before I start a PhD?
- What are the challenges of a cooperative doctorate?
- How do I find my promotional parents?

Application deadline: November 11, 2022

For students at HHN there is the possibility to follow the event on site, at Bildungscampus Sontheim. Interested students outside the university can participate in the event online. The confirmation of participation in the event online or on site will be sent to you by mail.

An event organized by Heilbronn University.
