What is Sports’n’Summer anyway?

It’s finally that time again! We, the General Student Committee (AStA) are happy to invite you to this year’s Sports’n’Summer. This unique event combines an action-packed university sports afternoon with a great summer party. Save the date: Sports’n’Summer will take place on June 14 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Sontheim Campus held.

What can you expect at Sports’n’Summer? Quite simple: lots of sports, fun and good humor! You can look forward to exciting sports tournaments in volleyball, badminton and soccer. Show your skills and fight for victory! It doesn’t matter if you are already an experienced player or if you just want to do some sports — at Sports’n’Summer there is something for you.

But that’s not all! For all those who would like to test their sporting skills in a different way, we have prepared a small university Olympics with various do-it-yourself stations. Here you can prove your skills and win great prizes. Be curious about the challenges and let us surprise you!

Of course, you should not lack food and good music. At numerous stands, some of which are run by student clubs/groups of the HHN, you can get delicious food and refreshing drinks. So you will be strengthened through the day. Of course we will also have a DJ at the start. So enjoy the summer atmosphere and let yourself be carried away by the beats.

After an eventful day, things continue seamlessly. At our after-party on campus you can end the day with your fellow students. Our DJ will provide the right beats here as well.

Sports’n’Summer is the perfect opportunity to network with your fellow students and other university members. Take the chance to meet away from the lecture hall and have a great time together.

Information about the sports tournaments

Soccer

A total of 10 teams can compete.
The teams may consist of min. 6 players up to max. 10 players (6 field players + 4 substitutes).
The game is played on the grass 6 against 6 with 5 field players + 1 goalkeeper per team.
All players must wear T‑shirts in the same color.
The color must be specified at the time of registration.
The team captains will receive a QR code at the beginning to follow the game plan on their cell phones.

The referee has the last word!
If a player gets physical, the whole team will be disqualified!
The goalkeeper must not take the ball in his hand during the back pass!
Free kicks are indirect, first the referee must blow the whistle.
NO STOLLS or similar. !
Those who do not follow these rules will not be allowed to play.

End: approx. 18.00
Playing time: 12 minutes
Changeover time between games is 5 minutes.

Beach Volleyball

A total of 8 teams can compete.
The teams may consist of max. 4 players (min. 1 woman).
If necessary, four additional players (substitutes) per team are allowed.
Club players are allowed (see note in rules).
Please bring your own balls.

The game is played according to the rules of the hall.
Each team must be able to provide a referee.
Professionals (players with player pass max. 1 per team)
At least 3 games will be played per team.

Playing time per set: 15 minutes

Conditions of participation

The tournaments are exclusively for members of Heilbronn University. Registrations from outside the university will be cancelled. Please pay attention to the tournament rules. Failure to comply with the rules may result in disqualification.

Note: At 7:00 p.m. at the Sontheim Campus, the award ceremony for ALLwho participated in the sports tournaments!

Sports’n’Summer University Olympics

For those who do not participate in the sports tournaments, we have organized the University Olympics. So you can also get a great prize in the raffle.

To participate in the Olympics, all you have to do is get a stamp card and get nine stamps. You will receive a stamp every time you successfully complete a task. You will receive one stamp for each station and task solved.

You can get the stamp card either at the info booth or at the participating companies/clubs (see table below).

Each completed stamp card will be entered into a raffle with great prizes. For this purpose, please hand in the card at the information booth (No. 18) by 5:45 pm.

The raffle will be held at 6 p.m. in the courtyard of Buildings E and F.
