IT Student Council

The Computer Science Student Council: These are all students from the study programs of the Faculty of Computer Science (IT).

The Student Council represents the interests of all students from the IT student body. The student council regularly consists of 6 elected members, who also act as the voice of the student council in the faculty council. The 6 elected members can elect another 5 voting members to the Student Council.

For those who don’t know what a faculty council, or a student council is, here is a brief explanation:

The Faculty Council is a body prescribed by the state of Baden-Württemberg, consisting of lecturers, staff and students of the university. Without the approval of the Faculty Council, no new formation, change or dissolution of study programs can be carried out, nor can any change be made to the Study and Examination Regulations (SPO). In addition, the use of funds available to the faculty is discussed.

The Student Council is primarily there for the students of the faculty. This represents their interests and strives in the implementation of student goals.

Anyone who is motivated and interested in improving the student life of the students from the IT student council can contact the chair and either contribute as an elected member or act in one of our units. Units are organs of the student council, which are authorized to act officially in the sense of the student council and according to the topic of the unit.

We hold regular council meetings, which are open to the public. If you want to know what is going on in the student council, you are welcome to attend a meeting.

The student council and all units can be reached via the official student council email address: fachschaft-itasta.hs-heilbronn.de
