Application for the 200 euro one-time payment

Since Wednesday, March 15, the platform for the application for the 200 € one-time payment (energy flat rate) is activated. However, not everyone was able to submit their application, as the platform was temporarily unavailable and an error message was displayed. When it was accessible again, many applicants ended up in a waiting room. This meant that a lot of patience was required. The reason for the technical problems was simply the high volume of traffic, which the site was not designed for.

Others were unable to submit their application because they had not yet received the required access code and PIN from their educational institution. This was also the case for us, the students at Heilbronn University.

When will it be possible to apply for the 200 euro one-off payment?

According to Heilbronn University, the access data will be made available via eCampus at the end of March. Therefore, you will have to be patient a little longer.

The application can be submitted until September 30, 2023. After that, your entitlement expires.

All those who were enrolled at a German university on December 1, 2022 are eligible. For more information on this and on the €200 one-time payment in general, please read our article from February.

How does the application process work?

1. enter access code

You can only submit your application after you have received your access code. The access code is your personal key to access the application.

2. prove identity

To prove your identity, you must first log in with your BundID account and then identify yourself with your online ID.

3. fill out online application

Now you only need to fill out the application. This is actually quick. Have your bank account details (IBAN) ready for this. After you have filled out everything, you only have to confirm the declarations and send the application online.

4. receive one-time payment

If you have now done everything correctly and meet the requirements for the one-time payment, you will receive an e‑mail. This contains a notification with the approval and the 200 € will be transferred to the specified account.
