Starting at 11:00 a.m., a test warning in the form of a warning text is sent to various warning media. These include, for example, digital city boards / billboards, radio, television or warning apps. In addition, Cell Broadcast is being tested for the first time. This is a warning message that is sent directly to all cell phones. However, not all cell phones can receive this message. There are various reasons for this and things that can be done to receive the message.
The purpose of the trial warning day is to help check or also uncover possible weak points. According to the official site of the warning day, the nationwide warning day continues to serve the purpose of informing the people in Germany about the warning of the population and thus to sensitize them for warnings.
