9-Euro-Ticket: Reimbursement for semester ticket holders

You have probably already noticed that the 9-Euro-Ticket has been available at some sales points since the weekend. If you have bought a semester ticket for this semester, then you should definitely inform yourself, because you can apply for a proportional refund for the promotional period (June to August).

Reimbursement for students with semester ticket

All students who have purchased a semester ticket for the summer semester 2022 will receive a pro-rata refund by bank transfer for the months of June, July and August 2022. A cash payment is not possible. Refund requests can be submitted until August 31, 2022 be submitted

There is no refund for redeemed semester ticket vouchers. In this case, only the solidarity contribution paid will be refunded proportionally.

Students with a semester ticket are also reimbursed for the solidarity fee on a pro-rata basis. For you as a student at Heilbronn University, this is 2.50 euros per month.

How do I get the refund?

The reimbursement is done via online form. You can find the online refund form on the HNV page.

The total reimbursement amount will be transferred at the beginning of September.

What if I have another ticket from another network?

For each subscription, 9 euros will be debited during the promotional period. Against proof of the subscription from the home network (= network at the place of residence), a refund of the additionally debited 9 euros can be requested from the subscription center of the neighboring network.

Example: If you live in the HNV area and have both an HNV and a VVS subscription, contact the VVS for reimbursement of the 9 euros (the HNV subscription is presented as proof).

What is the 9-Euro-Ticket?

The 9-Euro-Ticket is a one-off special offer agreed by the German government as part of the energy relief package and financed by the federal government. It is a monthly ticket that allows users of local public transport throughout Germany to travel for 9 euros per month for three months.

The 9-Euro-Ticket is a monthly ticket and is valid from the first to the last day of the month. Floating periods are not provided for. Entry or purchase during the promotional period is possible at any time.

The ticket is valid on all local trains (Regionalbahn, Regionalexpress, InterRegioExpress), streetcars, light rail vehicles and public transport buses throughout Germany and only in 2nd class. Transfer to 1st class is not possible even with a surcharge. It is not valid on long-distance trains (e.g. IC/EC, ICE, Flixtrain).
