Election period 2022

From Sunday, May 22, 10 a.m. to Tuesday, May 24, 2022, 3 p.m. inclusive. you can elect your representatives in the senate and in the faculty councils as well as the student parliament. The elections are implemented as online elections.

The announcement of election results will take place on Monday, May 30 at 2:30 p.m. in Room A 504 at the Sontheim Campus.

Who or what is chosen?

The StuPa represents the decisions of all students of the HHN. In total, the parliament consists of 28 student representatives (14 direct mandates, 7 student senate members, 7 representatives from the faculties).

In essence, the work of the StuPa consists of co-determining the course of the student body's higher education policy, negotiating various motions, and adopting statutes, regulations, and guidelines.

The term of office is one year: from 01.10.2022 to 30.09.2023

The following topics, for example, are passed in the Senate: Basic Regulations of the HHN, study contents and examination regulations, structural and development planning. Another important task of the senate is the election of the rector.

The senate consists of office members (5 from the rectorate, 1 equal opportunity representative) and electoral members (21 professors*, 7 employees and 7 Students).

The term of office is one year: from 01.10.2022 to 30.09.2023

Each faculty has its own small senate, the faculty council. Among other things, decisions are made here about study content and examination regulations, the distribution of funds and the appointment of new professors.

The Faculty Council consists of all professors of the respective faculty and 6 or 9 elected staff members and students.

The term of office is one year: from 01.10.2022 to 30.09.2023

The Student Council represents the students of the respective faculty at the faculty level, advocates for you in the Faculty Council as well as with professors and lecturers, and ensures that decisions of the StuPa are implemented in the Student Council.

In addition, he often plans with the respective student association, internal departmental events such as small parties, first semester welcomes, excursions, etc..

Why YOU should stand for election

It's simple: to make a difference, to improve your studies, to have a say in how money is spent, ...

There are many reasons why you should stand for election. But the most important one is: To have a say and to decide! To be able to live out democracy!

Election proposals

Two ways of submitting the election proposals are offered:

Paper ballot proposals may be placed in one of the following mailboxes:

  • Campus Sontheim: Mailbox at the main entrance of building A
  • Bildungscampus: Mailbox at the main entrance of building N
  • Künzelsau Campus: Mailbox at Building G
  • Schwäbisch Hall Campus: Mailbox Ziegeleiweg 4

A specific form is required for the paper form. The forms required for this can be obtained in advance from the election management (wahlleitungasta.hs-heilbronn.de) must be requested. In this case, an additional declaration of consent must be
be handed in.

Electronic "forms" for the election proposals will be here in ILIAS is made available to you. The link must be accessed via the university account.

If you would like to initiate an election proposal in ILIAS, i.e. if you are willing to be the representative ("list manager") of the election proposal, please contact Ms. Kerstin Steimle (kerstin.steimlehs-heilbronn.de). Ms. Steimle sets up read and write access to the election proposal for the list officers and their deputies.


Anyone wishing to register as a candidate and/or signatory (supporter) in the election proposal must do so via their university account. Access via the university account is considered the same as a handwritten signature in the paper-based procedure.

The deadline for submitting election proposals is Saturday, May 07 at 3:00 pm.

The announcement of the approved election proposals shall be made within the framework of the election announcement at the latest on May 16 (§ 11 of the election regulations) under
https://www.hs-heilbronn.de/wahlen.
