The Oxford Test of English (OTE) is a general English test administered by the Oxford University Press, which is becoming increasingly popular at universities and other institutions around the world. It is a computer-adaptive test of general English that covers the four skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. It takes about 2 hours to complete.
OTE certificate for study abroad or job applications
The OTE tests your current level of general English. You may need this certificate for internships or job applications as well as for studying abroad. Students of Heilbronn University who apply for a semester abroad at the partner universities of HHN usually need a DAAD certificate to prove their English language skills. The results of the OTE can be used to issue this certificate.
Please note: It is the student’s responsibility to find out about the language requirements of the desired university abroad and, if necessary, to register for the language test in good time. Contact your International Office for details.
