Infor­ma­tion on the extend­ed open­ing hours and usage options of the LIV.

As of next Mon­day, Octo­ber 11, 2021, access to the book col­lec­tion and the use of the learn­ing spaces will be expand­ed. Below you will find all infor­ma­tion about the gen­er­al con­di­tions as well as fur­ther pos­si­bil­i­ties how you can access the media.

Frame­work in all LIV libraries.

  • Access to the libraries is only pos­si­ble with valid 3G proof (vac­ci­nat­ed, test­ed, recov­ered) and under Com­pli­ance with hygiene rules pos­si­ble. Dur­ing the entire stay in the library, as well as at the reserved learn­ing place, there is the Oblig­a­tion to wear a med­ical mouth-nose cov­er­ing or FFP2 mask.
  • The book col­lec­tion can be used with­out pri­or reg­is­tra­tion. Please keep the min­i­mum dis­tance of 1.5 m and start your search for the desired media before enter­ing the library. Online cat­a­log before. 
  • You can only check out items using the self-check-out machines. You will need your stu­dent card/library card for this.
  • Upon enter­ing the library, there is a require­ment for con­tact track­ing. Please log in using the Luca app via the post­ed QR code or bring a com­plet­ed con­tact form and hand it in to secu­ri­ty or library staff.
  • At all loca­tions you can return your media out­side the build­ings. Please take advan­tage of this option to min­i­mize con­tact and time spent in the libraries. The 24-hour area at Bil­dungscam­pus is acces­si­ble with­out 3G verification.

Oth­er news about LIV libraries

With the open­ing of the libraries, LIV resumes the inter-site deliv­ery ser­vice. As usu­al, you can order media from oth­er loca­tions to your desired loca­tion in the online cat­a­log. This ser­vice is free of charge and the trans­port usu­al­ly takes place dur­ing Thurs­day. As soon as the desired medi­um is ready, you will receive a noti­fi­ca­tion by mail and can pick up the book with­in the next sev­en days.

If you are not able to come to the library dur­ing open­ing hours, you can send your order by mail to infoliv-bib.de send. The media can then be picked up by appoint­ment in front of the libraries (Son­theim, Künzel­sau, Schwäbisch Hall) or are avail­able in the media issue cab­i­net in the 24-hour area (no 3G proof required).

Orders can only be processed with com­plete infor­ma­tion about author, title, ISBN, sig­na­ture and media num­ber as well as your user/matriculation number.

As of now, send­ing media by mail is only pos­si­ble if there are valid rea­sons (quar­an­tine order, symp­toms of ill­ness, not stay­ing near the campus, …).

Orders can only be processed with com­plete infor­ma­tion about author, title, ISBN, sig­na­ture and media num­ber as well as your user/matriculation num­ber and postal address.

LIV con­tin­ues to pro­vide con­sult­ing and train­ing dig­i­tal­ly. Here, many dif­fer­ent for­mats are offered, from indi­vid­ual con­sul­ta­tions on spe­cif­ic ques­tions to data­base train­ing and library introductions.
